Conflict Check (Basic)

New-matter conflict-of-interest screen by name matching.

See it run - a worked example, 100% in this browser tab

What it is

New-matter conflict-of-interest screen by name matching. Enter the new matter parties and check them against a known-parties list (prior clients, current clients, adverse parties). Flags direct and normalized name matches - have we seen this name before. Exact, deterministic, entirely in-browser: no party name leaves the page. A known-parties list accrues locally across sessions. A first-pass aid only - it does not map corporate families, aliases, or beneficial owners (that is the Pro full conflict check), and a clean result is not a conflict clearance. Research aid, not legal advice.

Honest scope

Deterministic and citation-backed: every figure is exact arithmetic or a cited rule. Any year- or jurisdiction-indexed value is a confirmable input, never an eternal hardcode. This is a computation tool, not professional (legal, tax, medical, or financial) advice - confirm against the controlling authority for your context.
