Statute of Limitations Lookup

Statute-of-limitations reference.

See it run - a worked example, 100% in this browser tab

What it is

Statute-of-limitations reference. Looks up the limitations period for a claim type in a jurisdiction, then computes the expiration date from the accrual date with exact calendar arithmetic. Periods are cited to the primary statute for the jurisdictions this tool sources (Federal, California, New York, Texas, Florida); every other jurisdiction or uncitable claim is flagged "not sourced - verify" rather than guessed. Surfaces tolling doctrines (minority, discovery rule, fraudulent concealment) and the much shorter government-claim notice deadlines as fact-specific cautions. In-browser, no data leaves the page. Research aid, not legal advice.

Honest scope

Deterministic and citation-backed: every figure is exact arithmetic or a cited rule. Any year- or jurisdiction-indexed value is a confirmable input, never an eternal hardcode. This is a computation tool, not professional (legal, tax, medical, or financial) advice - confirm against the controlling authority for your context.
